Evisceration
Evisceration – Is a surgical procedure done on patients that have had either a traumatic incident or a diseased eye. The removal of the eyeballs contents, leaving the sclera shell and sometimes the cornea intact is what is done during this procedure. This procedure is done on an outpatient basis under local monitored anesthesia.
